Text Box: Welcome!
Text Box: Like other Christian denominations, we look to the Bible as the primary source of our beliefs.  We also believe that, as members of the Church, and guided by the Holy Spirit, we should use God's gift of human reason to explore and comprehend God's works.   In the exercise of our reason, we are guided by the tradition of the Church expressed in its historic creeds.

Rev. Susan Holstrom, Rector

Each Sunday morning we gather for Holy Eucharist.  The Greek word "Eucharist" means "thanksgiving".  The Eucharist is the service in which we give thanks for the abundant life that God offers us through Jesus Christ.

In the first part of the service, we hear and respond to God's word in readings from the Bible, in the sermon, and in prayers.  Every Sunday we have readings from the Old Testament, Psalms, New Testament, and Gospels.  In the second part of the service, we share the Communion of Christ's body and blood, the signs of life which he freely offered for us.  All baptized Christians are invited to receive Holy Communion.  For a history of the Episcopal Church, please visit the Diocese of Chicago website.

The mission of Saint David's Episcopal Church is to unite people in the love of Christ.

In pursuit of this mission, we pray and worship together,
strive to live as Christ taught us, and help others to find               God's peace.
